The Handmaid’s Tale
Hulu ■ Season Premiere
In Season 5, June (Elisabeth Moss) faces consequences for killing Cmdr. Waterford while struggling to redefine her identity and purpose. Meanwhile, the widowed Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) attempts to raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead’s influence creeps into Canada. Nick (Max Minghella) partners with Cmdr. Lawrence (Bradley Whitford) and Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) as he tries to reform Gilead and increase his power, while June, Luke (O-T Fagbenle) and Moira (Samira Wiley) fight Gilead from a distance as they continue their mission to save and reunite with Hannah (Jordana Blake). The first two episodes are available today; new episodes drop on Wednesdays.

This Australian teen drama is a reboot of the popular Aussie series that aired in the 1990s. It follows Amerie (Ayesha Madon), who becomes an instant pariah at her high school following a discovery that also causes a mysterious and very public rift with her ride-or-die Harper (Asher Yasbincek). With her new friends — outsiders Quinni (Chloe Hayden) and Darren (James Majoos) — Amerie must repair her reputation while navigating love, sex and heartbreak.
MasterChef: Back to Win
FOX, 7 p.m. ■ Season Finale
The three remaining chefs rush against the clock to complete their final entree and whip up a gourmet dessert with the help of former judge Christina Tosi. A new MasterChef champion is crowned in “Finale Part 2 — Special Guest Christina Tosi.”

The first season of Jimmy Fallon’s reboot of the classic game show concludes on a special night and at a special time as celebrity guests Yvette Nicole Brown, Joel McHale and Chrissy Metz face off with Fallon over two games to play on behalf of their chosen charities. Players from each team guess secret passwords using only one-word clues for a chance to win up to $25,000. Actress Keke Palmer hosts.
ABC Fall Preview Special ABC, 7:30 p.m.
The network gives viewers a sneak peek at its fall primetime lineup, including the new drama series Alaska Daily, The Rookie spinoff The Rookie: Feds and returning favorites like Grey’s Anatomy and Abbott Elementary. The cast of Home Economics, returning for a third season, hosts the special.

CBS, 8 p.m. ■ Season Finale
The reality competition series featuring stars from Survivor, The Amazing Race, Big Brother and Love Island wraps up its first season with the two-part finale “Home of the Brave.”
Farmhouse Fixer HGTV, 8 p.m.
In “Old Home by the Sea,” Jonathan Knight and Kristina Crestin transform a quirky 1840s beachside home and give it a relaxing, coastal feel it’s been missing. The new design includes a dramatically dark living room, kitchen decor inspired by a family recipe and the perfect beach mudroom.
