Tigers outmuscle Aggies to push win streak to 23

COLLEGE STATION — Angel Reese had 26 points and 22 rebounds to help No. 3 LSU outlast Texas A&M for a 72-66 victory Sunday.

Alexis Morris added 22 points before fouling out late to help LSU (23-0, 11-0 Southeaste­rn Conference) remain undefeated ahead of next week’s showdown with top-ranked and undefeated South Carolina. It was Reese's 23rd consecutiv­e double-double.

The Tigers won their first eight SEC games by an average of 23 points, but needed overtime to get an 82-77 win over Georgia last week before Sunday’s close game with the Aggies.

An 8-0 run by Texas A&M (6-15, 1-10), capped by six consecutiv­e free throws, cut the lead to 66-62 with less than two minutes to go. Reese made two free throws before Kay Kay Green made 1 of 2 free throws on the other end to leave LSU up 68-63 with less than a minute left.

Aliyah Boston scored 23 of her 26 points in the second half, including 14 in the fourth quarter, to help the Gamecocks beat the Huskies.

South Carolina (23-0) has won 29 consecutiv­e games since losing to Kentucky in the SEC Tournament title game last year.

WASHINGTON 72 NO. 2 STANFORD 67

Elle Ladine scored 21 points and Dalayah Daniels made two free throws with 8 seconds left, helping the Huskies knock off the Cardinal in Seattle.

Washington (13-9, 5-7 Pac-12) closed the game with a 9-2 run.

NO. 4 INDIANA 69 PURDUE 46

Sydney Parrish and Mackenzie Holmes each scored 15 points and the Hoosiers won their 10th straight game, pulling away from the Boilermake­rs in front of a their record home crowd.

The announced attendance of 14,876 was the largest for a Purdue women's home game.

Caitlin Clark had 23 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds to lead the Hawkeyes over the host Nittany Lions.

Monika Czinano scored 14 points and Kate Martin added 11 for Iowa State (19-4, 11-1 Big Ten).

NO. 7 UTAH 100, OREGON 92

Alissa Pili scored a season-high 30 points and the Utesmoved into a tie for first place in the Pac-12 with a road win over the Ducks.

Jenna Johnson added 19 points and Kennady McQueen scored 16 as the Utes (20-2) shot 62.3 percent from the field.

Diamond Miller scored 16 of her 29 points in the third quarter, and the host Terrapins routed the Buckeyes in the program's most lopsided win over a top-10 opponent.

Abby Meyers added 22 points and Shyanne Sellers contribute­d 19 for Maryland.

Celeste Taylor scored 14 points and the visiting Blue Devils came from behind to beat the Fighting Irish.

Trailing for most of the game's first 28 minutes, Duke (20-3, 8-2 ACC) took the lead for good in the final two minutes of the third quarter to knock off Notre Dame (18-4, 9-2).

Breamber Scott had 18 points and nine rebounds as the Red Raiders beat the Wildcats in Lubbock, snapping a three-game losing streak.

Jasmine Shavers added 17 points for Texas Tech (16-7, 4-6 Big 12), while Bryn Gerlich and Bailey Maupin added 16 apiece.

Jaron Pierre Jr. scored 19 points as the visiting Shockers beat the Golden Hurricane.

Pierre was 8-of-18 shooting (3 for 11 from distance) for Wichita State (12-11, 5-6 American Athletic Conference). James Rojas scored 17 points and added nine rebounds.

NORTHWESTE­RN 54 WISCONSIN 52

Boo Buie scored 13 points, Brooks Barnhizer had a clutch blocked shot in the final minute, and the Wildcats defeated the Badgers on the road.

Northweste­rn swept the season series with Wisconsin for the first time since the 1995-96 season.

MICHIGAN 77, OHIO ST. 69

Hunter Dickinson scored 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the host Wolverines past the sliding Buckeyes.

Jett Howard added 16 points and Kobe Bufkin 13 with eight rebounds for Michigan (13-10, 7-5 Big Ten).
