Charlotte Arehart, born Wladyslava Baron, died peacefully at home on February 23, 2023 surrounded in love by her family. Charlotte, also known as Nana, was 100 years loved. She enjoyed baking, sewing, golfing and traveling. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Born a century ago, she enjoyed technology and FaceTimed and Texted her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Charlotte was born on April 11, 1922 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Her childhood spanned the Roaring Twenties and the Great Depression. She came of age and joined the Navy Nurse Corp at the beginning of World War

II. It was in the Navy that she met the love of her life, Eddie Arehart, Marine, who was recovering from a leg amputation. They first met on a blind date and were married one month later on March 17, 1944. Married for 64 years, Eddie predeceased Charlotte in 2008. She is survived by two children: Greg Arehart and Fred Arehart as well as Fred’s wife, Sylvia. Charlotte’s legacy includes four wonderful grandchildren: Jonathan Arehart, Aaron Arehart, wife Annie, Jolyn Arehart Peden, husband David Peden, and Stephanie Arehart Kahl, and husband Chris Kahl. Nana was blessed to know and be known by three amazing great-grandchildren: Colin, Charlotte, and Ashlyn.

Although all eight of Charlotte’s brothers and sisters predeceased her, she remained close to her sister-in-laws, Elaine Pierce and Eileen, “Peanut,” Schwab. She was blessed to have many delightful nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

The funeral service will be on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. The service will held at the South Park Funeral Home, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, Texas.

The family prefers that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlotte’s honor to the American Cancer Society, or Henry’s Heart Iggy Rescue, or World Central Kitchen.
