ELIZABETH R. DAVIS

Elsie Elizabeth “Beth” Raines Davis of Houston, Texas was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 11, 1925 to Everett Henry Raines and Elsie Elizabeth Hall. She joined our heavenly father at the age of 97 on February 6, 2023 after a hospital stay in The Woodlands. (She was quite pleased to have outlived the Queen of England, you’re welcome America.)

Beth was married to Donald Wayne Davis in Memphis, Tennessee on August 10, 1946. She spent one year at Rhodes College in Memphis and retired at the age of 83 from the banking industry. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and loved to shop, complete crosswords, travel, cross-stitch, enjoy a good margarita and spend time with her many grandchildren.

Beth was preceded in death by her sister Joy Ann McNeese, her husband Donald W. Davis, great-granddaughter Ruby and her beloved cocker spaniel Chance. She was a devoted wife, mom, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She will be missed by her daughter, Elizabeth Guerrero and her husband Jorge; grandchildren, Dianne Cornish and husband Jason, Donald Guerrero and wife Danyale, Michael Guerrero, Jennifer Hoover and husband Nic, Martha Guerrero and husband Adam Perry, Benjamin Guerrero and wife Nicole, Linnie-Belle Guerrero and Elsie Guerrero; great grandchildren, Jordan, Nia, Cassidy, Wyatt, Collin, Jerry, Lili, Kaitlyn, Tristan, Henry, Grayson, Alex, Logan, Charlotte, Jared Oliver, Frankie and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Earthman Bellaire, 4525 Bissonnet St. Bellaire, 77401. Graveside service will be, 11 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2023, Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, 77023.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA.
