The XFL football league gets a reboot under a new ownership group led by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The eight-team league begins its 10-week regular season today with the Vegas Vipers at the Arlington Renegades (ABC) and the Orlando Guardians vs. the Houston Roughnecks (ESPN/FX). All XFL games air across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and FX.
Back to School With Gus Johnson FOX, 6 p.m.
This FOX Sports Films documentary explores the life and career of Gus Johnson, one of the most passionate voices in sportscasting. It also follows Johnson as he returns to academia, studying as a member of Harvard’s Advanced Leadership Initiative.

Black + Iconic, BET’s new series of four twohour documentaries from executive producer Stanley Nelson that explore the impact and influence of Black cultural innovators in various artistic fields, premieres its first film tonight with the fashion-themed Style Gods, directed by Lynne Robinson and narrated by Billy Porter.

■ Original Film After losing her boyfriend and her job right before Valentine’s Day, Olivia (Kathryn Davis) is invited by her sister back home to Nebraska and gets a ride from her roommate’s friend George (Markian Tarasiuk), who is driving from New York to Los Angeles. As the two strangers get to know each other during their cross-country trip, they realize they may have more of a connection than they first thought.
