‘Ambush’

‘Christy’

‘Close’

Belgium’s Oscar entry is a drama about the friendship between two young boys. Rated PG-13. Playing at AMC Willowbroo­k 24, Houston.

‘Cocaine Bear’

The movie with the best title of the year so far is based loosely on actual events in which a bear got into a stash of cocaine. In this comedy-thriller, hilarity ensues. Ray Liotta and Keri Russell star.

‘Dazed and Confused’

Richard Linklater’s classic 1993 comedy, starring Matthew McConaughe­y, is set on the last day of high school in 1976. Rated R. Screens 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

‘Devil’s Peak’

Robin Wright, Billy Bob Thornton and Jackie Earle Haley star in a drama set in the Appalachia­n Mountains, where a young man has to decide between staying with his meth-addicted dad or fleeing with his girlfriend. Unrated. Begins streaming Feb. 24 on various platforms.

‘Emily’

British biographic­al romance-drama about writer Emily Bronte, starring Emma Mackey and Alexandra Dowling.

‘Linoleum’

‘Luther: The Fallen Sun’
