Larson gets another NASCAR Cup win

LAS VEGAS — Kyle Larson won his second consecutiv­e race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday to keep keep Chevrolet undefeated and give Hendrick Motorsport­s its second victory in the first three NASCAR Cup Series races of the season.

Larson won for the third time in his career at Las Vegas.

Larson held off Tyler Reddick for his 24th career Cup victory. In a Toyota for 23XI Racing, Reddick chased Larson for the final several laps but could never find enough room to make a move for the pass.

Reigning NASCAR champion Ryan Blaney was third for Team Penske in a Ford, followed by Trackhouse driver Ross Chastain, Ty Gibbs ina Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing and Las Vegas native Noah Gragson was sixth.

GOLF Green holds on at LPGA Singapore

Hannah Green made a stunning 30-foot birdie at the final hole to clinch a one-stroke victory over Celine Boutier at the LPGA Tour’s HSBC Women’s World Championsh­ip at Singapore.

Green made six birdies against one bogey in a final round 67 for a 13-underpar 275.

Yuna Nishimura (66) had six birdies for a 9under 279 and into a fourway tie for third with Brooke Henderson (68), Mi Hyang Lee (67) and Nasa Hataoka (69). Overnight leader Ayaka Furue slipped to a tie for eighth at 7-under 288.

Cognizant postponed by weather: Austin Eckroat left PGA National with the outright lead Sunday, but he'll have to come back Monday to finish the job after thundersto­rms ended play after seven holes.

Niemann takes LIV Golf Jeddah: Joaquin Niemann won his second LIV Golf title in three starts, closing with a 4under 66 on Sunday at LIV Golf Jeddah for a four-shot victory over Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel.

TRACK & FIELD Charlton sets world record

Bahamas runner Devynne Charlton broke her own 60-meter hurdles world record at the world athletics indoor championsh­ips on Sunday.

Charlton won in 7.65 seconds, 0.02 off the record she set on Feb. 11.

SKIING Meillard secures slalom victory

Loic Meillard of Switzerlan­d won a World Cup slalom on Sunday at Aspen, Colo.
