When chil­dren don’t want to lis­ten, they cover their ears. Adults will in­stead tug on an ear­lobe. It is more sub­dued, but it says the same thing: Fin­ish up al­ready! Ei­ther the per­son has some­thing she wants to say or feels like she has been con­fronted with way too much in­for­ma­tion. But watch out: If some­one tugs her ear re­peat­edly, it could mean she is about to get ag­gres­sive!
