Herds of dinosaurs used to “live large” in Australia—and some of them had big feet to boot. Australian researchers discovered a 16-mile stretch of coastline in northwestern Australia with thousands of dinosaur footprints. More than 120 million years ago, the site called Walmadany was home to at least 21 different species, which left behind the most diverse dinosaur tracks ever found. The Black Knight Transformer developed by California-based aerospace company Advanced Tactics is a “modular, roadable casualty evacuation and cargo resupply aircraft,” which means it can take off and land vertically as well as drive over land to deliver supplies or rescue people in distress and can also be fitted with a boat hull for operations in water. The versatile vehicle can be unmanned or flown by a pilot. The multi-engine rotorcraft is based on the concept of small “multicopters,” but it is a 2-ton aircraft with significant range and payload capabilities. It can fly at up to 10,000 feet and drive at up to 70 miles per hour on the ground.
