WHAT IS THE CORRECT THROWING TECHNIQUE?
1. Grip
Align the shoulders and throwing arm in the direction of the target. Using at least three fingers to hold the dart, raise it to eye level.
2. Aim
Focus on the target. Do not grip the dart too tightly or clench your hand into a fist. Darts is a game of skill and touch, not force.
3. Throw
Point your elbow at the target and throw the dart with the wrist and elbow. The upper arm and the shoulder should hardly move during the release.
4. Follow through
Do not freeze after releasing the dart; allow your throwing arm to continue its motion and don’t let your elbow drop after letting go of the dart.
