Is there doping in darts?

-

As in a number of other sports that require a steady hand (for example, archery, billiards, golf, and shooting), the use of beta blockers is prohibited in competitive darts. Nevertheless, some darts players use beta blockers or other medicines before a tournament to take advantage of their steadying effect. According to the World Antidoping Agency, that’s illegal. In 2017, two finalists in the German Masters darts tournament tested positive for banned substances. They forfeited their victories and prizes and were barred from further competition. However the consumption of alcohol during a tournament is permitted.
