Jack Horner
The American paleontologist worked as a consultant for Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park film franchise and also inspired the character of Alan Grant in the books and films. Horner is known for his belief that T. rex was a scavenger, arguing that bone-crushing jaws were better suited to a forager than to a predator. Now retired, Horner served as Regents Professor of Paleontology at Montana State University and Curator of Paleontology at the Museum of the Rockies.
