WHAT TIME IS IT AT THE SOUTH POLE?

-

At the North and South Poles all 360 degrees of longitude run together, and therefore all the time zones do the same. At the poles the Sun rises and sets only once a year. You might say that all 24 times zones occur simultaneously, and thus the time of day is just a matter of arbitrary convention. Antarctica is currently home to 70 research stations representing 29 countries from all of the other continents. To make things easier, most scientists simply choose a time zone from their sponsoring country.

?? ?? NO NEED TO SAVE DAYLIGHT
Since the concept of time is so fluid at Earth’s poles, daylight saving time isn’t observed at Antarctica’s research stations. The continent’s beauty makes for a surreal experience that’s further compounded by time’s irrelevance.
