A MATTER OF TEMPERATURE

Hawksbills nest every two to four years, nesting three to six times in a season and laying an average of 150 eggs per nest. The eggs take about 60 days to hatch; the sex ratio depends on the incubation temperature, with higher temperatures favoring female hatchlings.
