Feline Friday adoption

INFO Feline Friday (every Friday), adoption special is where all cats and kittens can be adopted for just $25. Standard adoption policies and procedures apply. The adoptions fees include being up to date on vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, one free grooming with Awesome Pawz in Holtville and one free checkup with a local veterinarian.
Collecting old glasses and hearing aids

INFO Place used eyeglasses and hearing aids I a sandwich bag and hang them near your mailbox. Eyeglasses will be sterilized and calibrated for Lions clinics with volunteer doctors. Local area Lions clubs say thank you to postal patrons and the U.S. Postal Service letter carriers.
Moose Lodge steak/chicken night

INFO Cost is $12 (New York steak) or $8 (chicken breast) and includes baked potato, vegetables, onions/ mushrooms and salad. Members and guest are all invited to enjoy a great dinner to help support the local youth programs. To-go plates will be available.
AT&T to present $25,000 contribution to CASA of I.C.

INFO The contribution will be used to train community volunteers to become education mentors and provide enrichment opportunities for at-risk foster children across the county for a minimum of 18 months. Guests will be Christine Moore, director of External Affairs at AT&T; Ben Hueso, senator, Legislature of the state of California; Federico Miramontes, undersheriff, Imperial County (TBD); and Juan Ulloa, judge, Superior Court of California (TBD).
