ALEX MORALES JR.

Alex Morales Jr. of Imperial went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2016 surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 1, 1935 in Brawley to Alex and Beatriz Morales. Alex was well respected throughout the community. Alex served as consultant and liaison for several committees, boards and campaigns in Imperial County. He was influential in the development of La Gente Car Club, Imperial Valley Chapter. Alex managed W.T. Grants and later became a Registered Nurse working at both Imperial Valley hospitals as well as several health facilities in Imperial and San Diego Counties.

Alex had a passion for music and was a talented musician. His love of music began at an early age. It carried throughout his life and his passion for music lives through his children and grandchildren. Early on, he was a member of Los Marcianos and later founded and managed musical groups such as Los Elegantes and Savor. He was also involved in several music ministries including the band Revelation.

Alex Morales Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Beatriz; daughter, Rosemary; sister, Julia and great-grandson, Ivan.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie of 57 years; his children, Alex and Adelina of Sacramento, Mario and Maria of Brawley and Roxanne and Jess of Imperial; siblings, Yolanda, Maria, Joe, Hope and Gloria; brother-in-law/son, Joseph “Tio Roy” Flores; grandchildren, Angel, Lisa, Mario Jr., Alex IV, Adriana, Andrew, Tabitha, Jess Zavier and Aidan; great-grandchildren, Anne Marie, Joseph, Emily, Ariyana, Ezekiel, Mason, Olivia, and Elijah. Alex has numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Celebration of life service will be held Friday, November 4th at El Redentor Church at 6 PM. 305 N. 9th St. Brawley, CA 92227.
