HEATHER LAURAINE BENNETT GARCIA Oct. 24, 1969 - Dec. 14, 2016

Heather Lauraine Bennett Garcia, 47, of El Centro, CA passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.

She was born to Charles and Adana Bennett on October 24, 1969 in El Centro. She married the love her life, Roy “Troy” Garcia in Yuma, AZ on June 13, 1992.

She is survived by her husband Troy; daughters, Rachel Garcia (Andrew), Brittany Garcia (Christan); 3 grandchild­ren Chelsea, Michael and Nickolas; parents, Charles and Adana Bennett and sister, Heidi Bennett all of El Centro, CA; grandmothe­r, Joy Vaughn Boyle of Pacific Beach, CA; aunts, Paulette Wolfe (Jim) of Missouri, Lonnie McGrath (Dennis) of Spring Valley and Lori Vaughn of Pacific Beach, CA; uncles, Richard Bennett (Cathy) and George Bennett of El Centro, CA; mother-in-law, Doloris Galindo of Imperial, CA; sisters-in-law, Pearl Garcia Vasques of San Bernadino and Vicky Mordah Garcia of El Centro; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Heather was preceded in death by her grandfathe­r, Chet Vaughn of Nipomo, CA; substitute grandfathe­r, John Boyle of Pacific Beach; grandparen­ts, George and Ann Bennett of Bullhead, AZ; brother-in-law, David Garcia of El Centro, CA and father-in-law, Gus Galindo of Imperial, CA.

Visitation will will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hem’s Brothers Mortuary in El Centro, CA with services lead by Pastor Michael Montano at 7 p.m. Service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist church in El Centro, CA with Pastor Jeremiah Vik officiatin­g. Internment will be private.

WILLIAM “BILL” RILEY MANLEY III Oct. 30, 1933 - Dec. 20, 2016

Bill passed away December 20, 2016 while in the hospital in San Diego, CA following back surgery.

Bill was born in Shafter, CA. on October 30, 1933 and is preceded in death by his parents, William (known as June) and Dorothy Manley; sister, Violet; brother, Bobby; two sons, Willie and Brian; wife, Leslie and grandson, Tyler.

Bill served in the US Army and was in the Korean War. He was the second oldest of 8 siblings: Vivian (Lee), Lester (Sharrion), Don (Kathy), John (Tanya), Ginger and Dicky (Sharon).

He is survived by his partner, Erna Coomes; two daughters, Mary Ann (Michael) and Heather (Dave); son, Mike (Selina). He had 13 grandchild­ren and 13 great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral service will be held at Frye Chapel Mortuary on Thursday, December 29, 2016 9 to 10 a.m. family private viewing with service at Service at 10:30 a.m. A celebratio­n of life will follow at the Westmorlan­d Presbyteri­an Church 285 East 3rd St. Westmorlan­d, CA where Bill and Erna attended.

In lieu of flowers assistance with expenses would be appreciate­d.

LUIS RUIZ JR June 17, 1967 - Dec. 11, 2016

Luis Ruiz Jr., 49, of Calexico passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016.

He was born June 17, 1967 in El Centro.

He is survived by the love of his life, Mayra, Zavala of Calexico; daughter, Maria Guadalupe Ruiz of Calexico; sons, Luis Ruiz III of El Centro, Jose L. Ruiz of El Centro and Christophe­r Ruiz of Utah; sisters, Carla Pedraza of Texas and Rebecca Reidy of Phoe- nix; father, Luis Ruiz of Calexico and mother, Yolanda Moore of El Centro.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in Calexico with Rosary being said at 7 p.m. Service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Calexico. Burial will immediatel­y follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Calexico.

ROSEMARY MORA COSIO June 29, 1942 - Dec. 14, 2016

Rosemary Mora Cosio, 74, of Brawley, CA has departed and gone home to our eternal home with Jesus on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.

Rosemary was born on June 29, 1942 in Salinas, CA.

She is survived by her children, Christina Cosio of Cedar Hill, TN, Rosemary Cosio Doss of Marion, IL, Janina D. Cosio Miller of Brawley, CA, Felipe E. Cosio Jr. of Herrin, IL, Jason D. Cosio of Brawley, CA, Jacqueline D. Cosio of Carbondale, IL; 11 grandchild­ren and 13 great- grandchild­ren.

A celebratio­n of life will be held on January 6, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the ACC Hall in Brawley, CA. A second celebratio­n of life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017. Place and time will be announced a later date.
