Spartans, Tigers split meet

IMPERIAL — The swim teams from Imperial and Central Union High met for an Imperial Valley League meet at the Imperial Valley College pool here on Thursday afternoon.

The Central girls won 107-60 and the Imperial boys won 88-78.

For the Central girls, Clarissa Nava, Holly Corfman, Natalie Kosciusko and Amanda Cantwell came in second in the 200 free relay with a CIF considerat­ion time of 2 minutes, 2.53 seconds.

Nava won both the 200 I.M. (2:46.08) and the 100 fly (1:18.44).

For Imperial girls, Alyssa Chavarria, Stephanie Leal, Brenna Rollins and Bethany LaBeff won the 200 free relay with a considerat­ion time of 2:00.71.

LaBeff won both the 50 free (28.21) and the 100 breast (1:28.34).

For the Imperial boys, Joseph Scariano, Gus Jimenez, Kevin Barrientos and Brad Thomason won both the 200 free relay with a considerat­ion time of 1:46.26 and the 400 free relay with a considerat­ion time of 3:56.81.

Thomason won both the 50 free (25.95) and 100 free (57.22).

For the Central boys, Marco Peralta, Fernando Tejeda, Zuriel Landeros and Nathan Warner won the 200 medley relay with a considerat­ion time of 2:05.96 and came in second in the 400 free relay with a considerat­ion time of 3:59.02.

Nathan Warner won both the 200 free (2:13.25) and the 500 free (6:26.15).
