Heart & Vascular Clinic welcomes new providers

California Heart & Vascular Clinic recently announced the addition of two new providers to Tariq its services.

Sohaib Tariq, MD, and Celeste Armenta, RN, MSN, FNP-BC have been welcomed as part of the Heart & Vascular Armenta Clinic.

Tariq, who has expertise in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, is a distinguished member of various professional organizations such as the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and American College of Physicians.

Tariq joined the California Heart & Vascular Clinic team in July and has years of experience in teaching at Georgetown University, School of Medicine and New York Medical College, School of Medicine.

In the last five years, he co-authored 14 publications in numerous topics in Cardiovascular Disease.

Armenta, who has expertise in internal medicine, nephrology and cardiology, was recognized as one of clinic’s most known and talented nurse practitioners.

Armenta recently became a part of the clinic and has been in the nursing profession for more than 20 years. She has been a nursing professor at Imperial Valley College, ADSN Program for the last 17 years.

Previously, Armenta was a Nephrology Nurse Practitioner for 12 years for Balboa Nephrology.
