Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Marscia Menvielle; brother, Joseph R. Menvielle and brother-in-law Dennis Schneider.

Ralph enjoyed his annual family vacations at the “happiest place on earth”, Disneyland. A highlight for Ralph this past year was riding in the Calexico Christmas Parade along with members of the Menvielle Family who served as the Grand Marshals for the 2017 Calexico Christmas Parade.

Ralph was well known as a hard working perfection­ist, an energetic individual, and most of all a man with a caring spirit. Ralph made a great impact on the Imperial Valley and will be greatly missed.

A “Celebratio­n of Ralph’s Life” will be held on Saturday May 12, 2018, 10 a.m. at Calvary Chapel Church, 1923 Austin Road, El Centro, California.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the El Centro Calvary Chapel Church, Dee’s Animal Rescue or the Humane Society of Imperial County. Matthew 25:23 her priority and she has wanted to come home to the Imperial Valley for quite some time.

Along with her 2 daughters, 7 grandchild­ren, 11 great-grandchild­ren, and 4 great-great-grandchild­ren, she is survived by her 2 sisters, Rosie McKenzie and Nellie Guerrero; 2 brothers, Ray Singh and Robert Chell. There is a large extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews that make their home in the Imperial Valley, others are scattered throughout Southern California and the United States.

“Annie” will be laid to rest at Terrace Park in Holtville alongside her beloved mother, Silveria Chell on Monday, May 7, 2018. Rosary will begin at 9 a.m. Mass will immediatel­y follow at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Holtville.

On May 2nd, Norma Singh Saikhon passed away peacefully with her family by her side.

Norma left the world in the same way she lived her life, with beauty, elegance and grace. Norma was born February 17, 1939 in Brawley, California to Connie and Mota Singh.

Norma attended Sacred Heart School as a young girl before attending boarding school at Our Lady of Peace High School in San Diego. Norma went on to marry her late husband, Feber Rodriguez and have four children. Norma’s second marriage to Hector Saikhon blessed them with her 5th child.

Norma’s early career as a farmer in the Imperial Valley carried on her father’s tradition of cultivatin­g the land. She was proud of her efforts and each harvest was a testament to her strength and dedication. Norma believed in public service and commitment to philanthro­pic efforts. She believed that of all the things we did in life, we would be most proud of what we did for others.

Norma is the recently retired Imperial County Public Administra­tor. She is the former Mayor of Brawley, and also served on the City of Brawley Planning Commission. She was very proud of her position with the State of California Organizati­on of Mental Health Boards, where she served as the President of the Board. She was on the workforce Developmen­t Board, Chair of San Diego State University Advisory Board, Imperial Breakfast Rotary Club, an advocate and supporter of the Pioneers Museum, and she sat on the Imperial County Mental Health Advisory Board. It’s fair to say when Norma filled her plate with things to do, she didn’t stop, she simply grabbed another plate.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Scotty Saikhon and Adolph Rodriguez, and granddaugh­ter, Ashley Rodriguez.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Fragale; sisters, Emma Jimenez (Conrad) and Lilia Santilan; sons, Carl Rodriguez, Paul (Micki) Rodriguez; daughters, Elsa Benedict, and Susan (Alan) Sipe.

In addition, Norma leaves behind her most cherished grandchild­ren who affectiona­tely referred to her as Gram; Steven Rodriguez, Brandi Espinoza, Breanna Scott Godinez, Elsa Nicole and Christophe­r Rodriguez, Emily Sipe, Sam Paul and Saylor Benedict. Norma was blessed with 10 great-grandchild­ren and one great-great-granddaugh­ter.

Rosary will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brawley, CA. Followed by mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Riverview Cemetery immediatel­y following the mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Norma’s name to the Area Agency on Aging, Senior Nutrition mail to 778 W State Street, El Centro CA 92243.

Pedro Salcedo, 81, of El Centro passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 of complicati­ons from Pneumonia at UCSD Medical Center in San Diego.

He was born on February 25, 1937 in Nayarit, Mexico to Pedro Salcedo Sr. and Feliciana Garcia. He moved to Mexicali in 1951 and met Armida Flores and were married on February 28, 1959 in Mexicali, Mexico. Pedro began working for Mr. and Mrs. Floyd M. York in 1962 at Valley Paint Center. After years of hard work and dedication, Pedro and Armida were able to purchase the business and it then became Imperial Valley Paint Center. Pedro was proud to have his wife and children work in the family business. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, gardening and cookouts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Salcedo; mother, Feliciana Garcia; sisters, Enedina Medina, Cruz Mayorquin and Francisca Garcia.

Pedro is survived by his wife, Armida Salcedo of El Centro; daughter, Betsy (Mark) Carlos of Imperial; sons, Pete Jr. (Diana) of Imperial, Claudio (Isabel) of El Centro, Steve (Jessica) of Imperial; 9 grandchild­ren, 5 great- grandchild­ren; sisters, Esperanza Gomez, Isabel Torres and Antonia Gutierrez; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Christ Community Church in El Centro. Service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Christ Community Church in El Centro and will be officiated by Pastor Walter Colace. Burial will immediatel­y follow at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.
