Thousands of acute diarrhea cases reported

-

A state agency said close to 26,000 cases of acute diarrhea have been reported in Baja California this year.

Of those cases, 30.9 percent have been reported in Mexicali, said the Department of Public Health.

Authorities said 8,032 cases have been identified in Mexicali so far in 2018.

In order to protect residents from these sicknesses, the agency urged citizens to keep food refrigerated, wash their hands before and after going to the restroom, eat thoroughly cooked fish and seafood, and drink disinfected water.
