Josefina P. Ochoa began her journey into Heaven on May 23rd, 2018.

She was born on April 4, 1925 in Glendale, Arizona to Josfina D. Parada and Francisco Parada. She migrated to the Imperial Valley in 1931 where she establishe­d her family roots, beginning with her marriage to Apolinar “Nayo” Ochoa in 1944. They remained lovingly together for 38 years before his untimely passing. Josefina’s deep commitment to her children was seen clearest as a dedicated homemaker and as a nurse’s aide at the Calexico Hospital’s pediatric ward for 8 years. She reared her six children with unwavering attention to their individual needs and set an example of dedication and love.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Apolinar; her daughter, Atala (Talie); granddaugh­ter, Rebecca and grandson, Daniel.

Josefina is survived by her son’s, Jose (Isabel), Bernardo (Maria), Sergio, Hector (Sylvia); daughter, Rebecca (Francisco). Josefina was a beloved grandmothe­r to 23 grandchild­ren, 43 great-grandchild­ren, and 3 great- great- grandchild­ren.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service in her honor on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 153 E. Brighton Ave., in El Centro, CA. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery following her services.

Josefina will be greatly missed but always cherished by her family and friends.
