Meeting to discuss Census 2020
The Governor’s Office and the California Complete Count Effort will host a regional Census 2020 meeting in Imperial today to bring together local stakeholders to plan and coordinate outreach to achieve a complete census count.
The meeting will bring together local leaders in hard-to-count areas to learn about Census 2020 state and federal efforts, along with available mapping and demographic data, and to hear from experts about anticipated complete count challenges.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to form partnerships, identify necessary resources and begin strategizing an effective outreach strategy.
Today’s meeting is one of 24 gatherings across the state from April to August 2018 that aim to gather information about community needs. The information gathered will be incorporated into the Statewide Outreach Strategy and will inform the development and dissemination of useful tools and tactics.
