-

Dec. 9, 1925 - Oct. 25, 2018

The world has lost some of its beauty as Virginia Bedig, known by loved ones as “Coy”, passed away on October 25, 2018.

Born on December 9, 1925 to Guadalupe and Gustavo Armendariz, Virginia was raised in Calexico. She married Peter Bedig and they began their life in El Centro. She had three daughters, all of whom were a source of great pride and joy for their mother.

As Matriarch of the family, Virginia’s grace was a beacon that lit the way for those who knew her. Virginia was kind, smart and generous to all whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Bedig; eight siblings and her grandson, Preston Richter.

She is survived by her three daughters as well as three son-in-laws, Chrissy and Jens Hutchens, Carol and Bobby Richter and Leslie and Mark Wicker; grandchildren, Ryan Richter, Jake and Dianne Richter and Derek and Alyssa Dessert; great-grandchildren, Charley Ann and Wyatt Richter.

Rosary will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 9 a.m. in Saint Mary Catholic Church, El Centro. Funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m.

Though the world may have lost some of its luster, heaven now shines a bit brighter. Rest in peace Mom.
