Arthur “Art” Beriah Davis, Jr. died peacefully in his Stockton, California home on November 1, 2018 at the age of 53.

Art is survived by his father, Arthur B. Davis, Sr. of El Centro, CA; mother, Yolanda Lane of Carmel, Indiana; daughter, Kaitlyn “Davis” Brooks of Hickman, CA; son, Arthur “Artie” Davis of Monrovia, CA; his sisters, Tammy “Davis” Persinger (Kaeler, Keanon, and Samantha), Michelle Davis Carmichael, husband Kep (Allie, Cameron, Callaway); brother, Conan Lane and wife Jayme (Brayden, Landon, and Colten); aunt, Josie Thompson; cousins, Carl and Cindy.

He was preceded in death by Georgia “Nana” Huffman of Terre Haute, Indiana, Kate Carmichael of Carmel, Indiana, Rosie Connelly of Terre Haute, Indiana.

Art was born on April 27, 1965 in El Centro, California to Arthur and Yolanda. He Graduated from Central High in 1983. After moving to Stockton, Art began his career in brokering with a Plastic Recycling company and continued to broker for over 20 years. Art and Kara Dozsa had two beautiful children and supported them through school, sports, and extra curricular activities. His children remember him as a kind, strong and driven father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. He loved coaching their teams and committed himself as a volunteer in the community.

Art was accomplish­ed at many things and often known as the guy who could fix anything. He was a generous and witty individual who loved his friends, family and his Pittsburgh Steelers. He was passionate about being the life of the party, always making sure everyone had a smile on their face. He also made sure to make an impact on people’s lives though his hard work, mentoring, and dedication to always getting things done. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

A Funeral is scheduled for November 16th at 2 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary located at 1975 south 4th street El Centro California 92243. A celebratio­n of life will follow at Elks Lodge, 631 Main St, El Centro, CA 92243.

In addition there will be a celebratio­n of life held on November 19th at 4 p.m. Hoover Tyler Little League Jackson Memorial Field 2, 3470 N Wisconsin Ave, Stockton, CA 95204.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Art Davis Memorial go fund me account to assist with funeral expenses. The Family would like to thank all of Arts friends and family for all of their love, support, prayers and generosity.
