Trade continues to trend upward
A Mexican agency released a report of trade activity for September that indicates retail sales grew in the state 4.8 percent.
The National Institute of Statistics and Geography also said employment increased 4.6 percent during that month in the state — the third highest nationwide.
Retail sales have grown for nine months straight, according to the report.
Employment in wholesale trade decreased 2.1 percent in September, but climbed 4.7 percent for the year overall.
According to reports of the Mexican Institute of Social Security, trade has created 285 new businesses and 4,204 new jobs for the year.
