Union files complaint

A union representi­ng high school teachers in the state filed a complaint at the Human Rights Commission due to the state’s failure to make a salary payment.

The Workers’ Power Union, which represents employees of the Cecyte High School System, announced the filing of the complaint with Mexico’s National Human Rights Commission.

The union, whose members returned to the picket lines days ago, invited its membership to file a complaint at the Mexican Labor Defense Attorney office after the state’s nonpayment.

In the meantime, the Local 37 of the National Education Workers Union and the State Education Workers Union announced the extension of their demonstrat­ions until Friday due to the lack of payment to retired teachers.
