IVL wrestling finals: Individual results
The big news in Valley sports on Wednesday was undoubtedly the Imperial Tigers claiming the 2018-19 Imperial Valley League wrestling title, by virtue of winning the IVL finals tournament held in Brawley.
But the Tigers weren’t the only winners at the event. The tournament also allocated individual honors to the top performers at each weight-class.
As one might expect, Imperial fielded the most first-place finishers with six. Second-place Brawley followed with three; third-place Southwest had two; and Central, Holtville and Vincent Memorial (which only had one man on the scene) each had one.
The top three (or in some cases, two) placers in each class are listed below:
