IID launches 2019 Quality AC Tune-Up Program

-

Imperial Irrigation District announced Tuesday the kickoff its 2019 Quality AC Tune-Up Program to help customers save electricity and money by improving the efficiency of their air conditioners.

The free program enables IID residential and commercial customers to have a professional contractor check their air conditioning systems at no cost.

“An air conditioner is generally the largest appliance operating in a household or business,” said Henry Martinez, IID general manager. “Having the units maintained and running properly before the summer starts can help ensure efficient operation, saving customers energy and money.”

To participate, customers need to make an appointment with a participating contractor. The list of participating contractors is available on the IID website at www.iid.com/actuneup or by calling (844) 451-2498.

The service includes:

• A refrigerant charge adjustment of up to 1 pound of R22 and/or 410A refrigerant

• Installation of a Western Cooling Control device (residential customers only)

• Duct seal (residential customers only)

All participating contractors have been recruited and trained by Proctor Engineering Group’s HVAC efficiency experts. The program is not available during the peak cooling season of June through August.
