COLAB elects new officers
IMPERIAL — The Coalition of Labor, Agriculture and Business of Imperial Valley has elected a new slate of officers effective Sept. 1.
Officers will each serve a two-year term. President is Steve Snow, of Phillips Cattle Co. and Real Estate; 1st vice president is Kurt Rubin, of Rubin Seed Co.; 2nd vice president is Dustin “Dusty” Dockstadeer, of Doc’s Organics, and secretary-treasurer is James Graves, of Ewing, Johnson & Graves, LPC.
Members of the board of directors are the four officers, Carlos “Chuck” Aniza, Solar, LLC; Bill Collins, Farm Credit Services; Howard Elmore, Sahara Packing; Rodney Foster, Foster Milling; Sue Giller, Reliance Public Relations; Carlton King, Carlton King Consulting; Peter Osterkamp, Osterkamp Farms; Darren Smith, Smith-Kandal Insurance & Real Estate; Ralph Strahm, Strahm Farms; Alan Boyce, Boyce Land Co.; Caleb Gaddis, TWG Construction; Sterling “Arkie” Mayes, Imperial County Building Construction Trade Council; George Moses, IBEC #465. and Tom Watson, Tom Watson Electric.
Advisory board members are Jeff Alford, Alford Distributing; Paul Cameron, Mesquite Cattle Feeders; Jim Duggins, Duggins Construction, Inc.; Jeff Mercer, Granite Construction Inc.; Bill Plourd, El Toro Export; and Blake Reed, Sun Valley Applicators.
COLAB is nonprofit entity designed to unite the independent strengths of labor, agriculture and business to project a powerful united voice dedicated to protecting and enhancing the natural and business environments of Imperial County. COLAB works as nonpartisan coalition governed by a board of directors with representatives from varying industries in Imperial County.
