The Heber Public Utility District will hold its Fourth Annual Fall Fiesta Saturday. The event will start at 3 p.m. with a parade on Hawk Avenue followed by the fiesta at Tito Huerta Park, 1165 Palm Ave.

The fiesta will include an authentic Dia De Los Muertos altar where visitors may place pictures of loved ones, say a blessing with Father David, and sing along with Mariachi Aurora. The blessing and mariachi will begin at 6 p.m.

The Proyecto Heber 6th Annual Car Show will be held during the Fall Fiesta. It will involve car clubs from all over the Imperial Valley, Mexicali, San Diego and Coachella.

Heber Public Utility District will again provide free carnival games with prizes for the kids, including super hero races, hay rides, loteria and more.

There will be more than 20 food vendors, a beer garden and desserts.

Scheduled musical entertainers are Maribel Puentes and Mariachi Amanecer followed by Alidados Norteño playing musica norteño, including waltz, cumbia, polka, bolero and ranchera style dance music. The party starts after the parade and ends at midnight!

This year, the Heber Public Utility District has teamed up with the Southwest High School Band to create the biggest haunted maze in the Valley. The Night of the Living Dead @ Heber will lead visitors down into the storm drains of Heber where they may encounter creatures like Pennywise the clown and a few of his undead friends.

Entry in the maze is $5, and all proceeds go to the Southwest High School Band. Located at the west end of Tito Huerta Park, the Night of the Living Dead starts at dark.
