Paradise Casino announces reopening date

- STAFF REPORT

YUMA -- Paradise Casino is re- opening on June 17 at noon, the Quechan Indian Tribe announced Friday.

The decision to re- open at this time is based on several factors, the tribe said in a release. Casino management worked diligently to create a safe environment for our guests and team members, including significant changes to the gaming floor.

“While other casinos have shut down slot machines our approach is to concentrate on social distancing by removing slot machines,” the tribe said. “Some of those machines are placed in Bingo and Sharky’s Lounge allowing for optimal capacity and comfort while adhering to maximum social distancing standards” Other measures taken include:

• All employees will be wearing masks.

• All employees will be screened and be sent home if they have a temperature over 100.4.

• Masks and gloves will be available to guests. Those who prefer may wear a mask from home. Masks are not required to enter, but are encouraged.

• Extensive signage and direction promoting safety and rules will be located throughout the property.

• A dedicated sanitation team will be solely focused on ensuring property cleanliness.

• Additional hand sanitizers will be available at all high contact areas around the casino.

• Please DO NOT visit if you are experiencing flu- like symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath.
