EFRAIN GAYTAN

Efrain Gaytan, 64, of Brawley passed a way Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at ECRMC in El Centro, CA.
He was born September 17, 1956 in Mexicali, B.C. to p arents Carmen and Jose Gaytan. Efrain immigrated to the United States in 1979 a nd naturalized soon after. In 1980, God blessed him with twin daughters, Lizbeth and Lizeth. H e was the best father, who took pride in raising his daughters.
Efrain w orked for Kelomar/ MikeMorgan Ranches for 25+ years. It was there that he and Rosie met in 2001. In 2003 they established their life together along with their beloved dogs, Pinkie and later Barbarita, who never left his side. He then went on to work for Jack Bros,. Inc in Brawley for the last 15 years.
Efrain was the most humble, hard- working, and giving man who was loved and respected by many. F arming was his passion, a nything water/irrigation related was his thing. He w as also a life- long Dodgers fan. Efrain was an exceptional son, brother, father, husband and uncle. He had a great bond with his sister’s in- law, nieces and nephews w ho lovingly called him Tio Viejo after Rosie started calling him “Viejo”.
Efrain was preceded in death by his parents Carmen and Jose Gaytan; brothers Jose Alfredo and Noe Gaytan.
He is survived by h is wife Rosie Amavizca; daughter Lizbeth Pritchard (Zachary); granddaughter Emma Grace and daughter Lizeth. Siblings Hugo (Maria), Aracely Lopez (Francisco), Carmen Hernandez (Jose), Jesus (Patricia), Saul (Alejandra) Judith (Jose Luis), Sonia Amial ( Jesus), Mirella Romero (Alfonso), Claudia Self (Edgar) and Cinthyia Estra.
Services will be held on February 3, 2021. Viewing will be at Frye Chapel fro 9am to 11am. Mass will be held at St. Mary Margret at 1 2pm. Interment immediately following mass at R iverview Cemetery. Due to C OVID services will be private.
