Mike F. Orduno, 91 years old, p assed away unexpected­ly and is now home with our Savior Jesus .

He was born in Brawley, California and raised in Heber, Ca. Then as a young man resided in Brawley. In his youth from 1 3 years old h e worked in the agricultur­al fields in various places. He also worked as a combine operator, he then proudly went to serve his country i n the United States Army during the Korean War where he received 5 medals. He was also a member of the American Legion.

He worked as a custodian and bus driver for the Brawley School Elementary School D istrict where he retired after 30 years. H e then was self- employed doing what he loved, working outdoors as a gardener, maintainin­g various yards and offices, including for Dr. Lai and worked for Valley Baptist Church in Brawley for over 30 years.

He befriended everyone he met. He had unfailing work ethics and he will be remembered for his integrity, honestly and for his generosity and willingnes­s to help anyone in need, but most of all, we w ill remember the way he loved his family, constantly and selflessly, w e could always count on our dad for support. He loved congregati­ng with his church brothers and sisters and being at the church services at Iglesia Adventista del Septimo Dia in Brawley and he loved spending time with his family. He was highly respected and dearly l oved by all who knew him.

We w ill miss his strength, patience, his calming presence and unwavering kindness and his teasing jokes. He was a praying man and we take comfort knowing he is with our Lord.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Josefina Solano Orduno and brother Lorenzo Orduno.

He is survived by his daughters, Y olanda (Tomas), Sylvia , Sandra. Sons Mike Orduno Jr. (Rina), and Arthur Orduno; sister Margarita; nieces and nephew; cousins; 11 grandchild­ren, 2 5 greatgrand­children and 4 great- great- grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be Friday April 16, 2021 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley f rom 6pm to 9pm. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday April 17, 2021 a t Iglesia Adventista del Septimo Dia at 11 am to 12 noon.

Burial Services will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley, C alifornia at a later date to be announced.
