Anna Cannon, 67, of Holtville passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, August 22, 2021.

Anna was born on August 12, 1954 in San Diego, California. She was the daughter of Bobby and Georgia Lucas and the oldest of five children.

At ten years old, Anna and her family moved to Holtville, CA where she would attend Holtville schools and graduate from Holtville High School in 1972. She was a current member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was baptized as a young girl. After high school, she obtained her phlebotomy license and worked for Dr. Hayworth and several local labs. Anna was also a waitress at J & M Cafe and helped her parents run their family business, Park Manor Motel in Holtville for many years.

Anna married Ralph Cannon on August 23, 1975. She became a widow at the age of 35 but went on to raise her two daughters, Marcy and Christie and was a wonderful and proud grandma, otherwise known as BooBoo. She never missed any of their school, 4-H or sports events and supported all their activities. She enjoyed her family to the fullest as they celebrated every birthday and special occasion together which brought her so much joy. She looked forward to their family vacations every summer where she could enjoy the cool weather and relax at the beach. She was also a San Diego Charger fan and loved watching the games with her family and cheering for her team. She was a devoted NA member and provided much support to the program for many years. She worked with the county jail administra­tors to coordinate and provide NA meetings to incarcerat­ed individual­s. She served on the Narcotics Anonymous board for many years.

Anna is survived by her mother, Georgia Lucas; siblings, Marc, Donna (Justin) Brady, Deedee Smitham and Robbie Lucas; her daughters, Marcy (Carl) Bingham and Christie (Paul) Tanori and step-daughters, Tracy and Samantha Cannon; her grandchild­ren, Jacob Rodrigues, Zack (Alexi) Bingham, Carleigh (Jonathan) Ramirez, Billy Bingham and Kayah Tanori; her great-grandchild­ren, Edward, Matthew, Rhiannon and Archer; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Cannon; her father, Bobby Lucas and her grandson Eddie Tanori and great-grandson, Angel Rodrigues.

Burial will be held on September 11th at 8:45 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro. Service to follow at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 722 East 6th Street, Holtville, CA 92250 and will be officiated by Pastor Richard Moore.
