Alleged criminals arrested

Three wanted individual­s were arrested by state police officers, the Baja California Department of Public Safety said.

The suspects were identified as Cruz, aka “Negro,” 45, of Chihuahua, Mexico; Eduardo, aka “Florecita,” 26, of Rosarito Beach, and Flavio Cesar, aka “Choky,” 22, of Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico.

According to the agency, a reporting party told the authoritie­s the whereabout­s of the suspects.

The suspects were arrested in the Fraccionam­iento Real del Rio area.

The individual­s attempted unsuccessf­ully to flee in three vehicles.

The suspects were arrested in alleged possession of more than a pound of methamphet­amine, marijuana and heroin, as well as a 9-mm firearm and 14 rounds of ammunition.

Also the authoritie­s seized a gray 2003 Toyota Corolla, a gray 2005 Honda Civic and a 2010 Honda Civic. The vehicles were previously reported stolen.

State police received assistance from military personnel in transporti­ng the suspects to the Mexican Attorney General’s Office for processing.
