Alleged criminals arrested
Three wanted individuals were arrested by state police officers, the Baja California Department of Public Safety said.
The suspects were identified as Cruz, aka “Negro,” 45, of Chihuahua, Mexico; Eduardo, aka “Florecita,” 26, of Rosarito Beach, and Flavio Cesar, aka “Choky,” 22, of Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico.
According to the agency, a reporting party told the authorities the whereabouts of the suspects.
The suspects were arrested in the Fraccionamiento Real del Rio area.
The individuals attempted unsuccessfully to flee in three vehicles.
The suspects were arrested in alleged possession of more than a pound of methamphetamine, marijuana and heroin, as well as a 9-mm firearm and 14 rounds of ammunition.
Also the authorities seized a gray 2003 Toyota Corolla, a gray 2005 Honda Civic and a 2010 Honda Civic. The vehicles were previously reported stolen.
State police received assistance from military personnel in transporting the suspects to the Mexican Attorney General’s Office for processing.
