Calexico High School teacher recognized on Tonight Show segment

Rosa Sandigo, a Spanish teacher at Calexico High School was recognized during the Mother’s Day Surprise Teacher Edition on the “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday.

Sandigo was surprised with a $25,000 check and a Samsung Galaxy bundle. During the segment, Sandingo’s son talked about his mother’s career and how she has impacted thousands of students in the border region.

The recognition is part of Samsung’s campaign to celebrate National Teacher’s Day and Mother’s Day in partnership with the show to reward inspiring teacher who are mothers.
