Teacher dismissed for sexual harassment

A Mexicali high school teacher was dismissed after being accused of sexually harassing students.

According to media reports, victims gathered teacher videos and pictures to file a complaint.

The teacher worked for the José Vasconcelo­s Campus of the Colegio de Bachillere­s

High School System.

System General Director Juan Eugenio Carpio told La Voz newspaper the teacher was accused at the Attorney General’s Office.

According to the state official, nine teachers have been accused of sexual harassment by students statewide.

Of those complaints, five teachers work in the José Vasconcelo­s Campus and four others in Tijuana’s Ruben Vizcaino Campus.

At the Tijuana campus, the authoritie­s have recorded 60 victims.
