Truck fire on highway

A tractor-trailer rig was reported on fire at 7:41 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of highways 86 and 22, Sheriff ’s Office dispatcher’s logs state. Brawley and Westmorland fire departments responded.

The California Highway Patrol provided traffic control, a CHP spokesman said. No further information was available.
