Calexico Police apprehend burglary and theft suspects

City Police arrested two persons Thursday in separate incidents involving theft and property damage.

In the first case, a 40-year-old Calexico resident was arrested on suspicion of vandalizing and burglarizing a parked vehicle.

In the other incident, police nabbed a 51-year-old Mexicali resident after he allegedly used a stolen vehicle to ram the locked gate of a local business. Police said they believe the suspect was attempting to gain access to the property in order to steal industrial equipment.
