Pocos Pero Locos retains Taco Fest title

Imperial-based taco vendor Pocos Pero Locos took home top honors in the Open category at Thursday’s 3rd annual Taco Festival. The champs also got the nod for Best Salsa.

Honors for Best Carne Asada Taco went to El Centro’s Jr. Tacos & Grill.

The Taco Festival, organized by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Brawley, featured 52 local vendor booths, with 15 of them competing for the right to be crowned Taco King. The chamber estimated 6,000 to 8,000 people attended the event.
