Dentist visits increase
After the number of active COVID-19 cases has significantly decreased on both sides of the border the number of dentist visits in Mexicali has increased.
La Voz newspaper reported that last year 1.9 million people visited Baja California seeking medical services.
In Mexicali, about seven out of every 10 dental office visitors come from the United States, College Graduated Dentists Association Chairman Normando Driottz told the newspaper.
Most of those patients seek services like root canals, prosthetics and cosmetic procedures.
The association chairman explained that some services cost about a quarter of the same services in the United States.
