El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents reportedly rescued two undocumented migrants in the Jacumba Wilderness region Saturday night.

According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection release, El Centro Sector Communications notified El Centro station about 11:40 p.m. of a report they received regarding two individuals in distress. The report stated the pair were dehydrated and in need of assistance.

Agents responded to the last known GPS coordinates provided. About 11:51 agents operating the Remote Video Surveillance System (RVSS) spotted one individual six miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border.

By 11:55 p.m., agents found both individuals and conducted a wellness check and gave them water. Agents determined no medical assistance was needed. They also verified neither migrant was in the United States legally.

Both individuals were taken into custody and transported to the El Centro Sector Processing Center for follow-up.
