Two arrested for attempted abduction
Two men were arrested early Monday in the downtown area after allegedly attempting to abduct a woman, according to media reports.
La Voz newspaper reported that authorities responded to the report crime at 3:29 a.m. at Pedro Moreno Avenue and New River Boulevard.
The victim flagged the police as they were patrolling the area.
The 30-year-old woman told police she was leaving a bar when two men offered her a ride in a gray 1998 Jeep Cherokee.
The passenger then allegedly attempted to force the woman into the vehicle.
She was able to flee and seek help at a gas station.
Police officers were able to find and arrest the suspects, who were identified as Eduardo and Hector Ramon, both 31.
