Anna G. Ortega, 35, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at Scripps La Jolla.

She was born on December 18, 1987 in Brawley, CA. She graduated from Brawley Union High School in 2007. She was currently employed at Calipatria State Prison as an office technician. Anna was a beautiful person who was able to bring love and a glow wherever she went.

Anna would spend countless hours baking the newest dessert recipe she had seen to make sure everyone got a piece of sweetness. She was the person so many confided in because whenever you needed an ear or a shoulder to cry on, she would be there. If you ever needed a smile, a hug, or a simple text, Anna was for sure the one to provide you with it, because that's what she was all about, getting joy and satisfaction from everyone else being happy.

Anna is survived by her parents, Jose and Maria Ortega of Brawley, CA; mother, Gabriela Ortega of Mexicali, MX; brothers, and spouses, Jose & Lucia, Carlos & Dulce of Imperial, CA, Hugo & Mayra of Brawley CA; brothers, Jesus & Daniel of Mexicai, MX; sister, Maribel of Mexicali, MX, Nina, Alma Ortega, nieces, Karla, Kayla, Alessandra, Leslie, Melissa, Elyssa, Valerie, Briana, Vanessa & Mia; nephews, Alexis, Andrew, Damian, Cuauhtemoc, Hugo Jr., Iker, Matias, Jiovanni & Jian and countless friends and loved ones that she touched with her amazing heart.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 12, 2022 from 6-9 pm at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley, CA. Rosary will be said at 7 pm. Mass will commence at 10 am on Friday, January 13, 2022 at St. Margaret Mary's Church in Brawley, CA with Fr. Bernardo Lara officiating. Burial follow at Riverview Cemetery.
