CCC SDSU-IV to commemorate Black History Month with webinars
San Diego State University Imperial Valley’s SDSU-IV Cross Cultural Center will host a series of webinars to commemorate Black History Month. To kick off February, a ZOOM webinar will be hosted by photographer, poet, and mental health researcher Kay Adekunle Rufai on today, Wednesday, February 8 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In this session, Rufai will dive deep into his work on restoring the humanity of Black boys.
On Monday, February 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a second Zoom webinar will be hosted by Mauriell Amechi, a social scientist, professor, consultant, and speaker. Amechi will be focusing on the success of college students with foster care experience. The SDSU-IV CCC will be celebrating Black excellence in education in February and March.
