I’d Love to More Kids! Have More Kids!

A year and a half after marrying actor Dave Abrams, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum has babies on the brain

- with… JENNIE GARTH

In 2015, Jennie Garth married her third husband in an outdoor wedding on her bucolic Southern California ranch — barely eight months after she met him on a blind date. Now, 18 months later, the actress reveals that she and actor Dave Abrams, 35, would be “so happy” to expand their family, which already includes daughters Luca, 19, Lola, 14, and Fiona, 10, from her previous marriage to Peter Facinelli, 43, which ended in 2012. Jennie, 44, who recently teamed up with comfort-food company Marie Callender’s for a project to benefit Habitat for Humanity, talks to In Touch’s Hilary Sheinbaum about motherhood, making peace with her

ex-husband and why she occasionally Googles herself!

How’s marriage — do you and Dave still feel like newlyweds? JG: It’s great. We got married very quickly, so we are continuing to learn about each other and grow our relationship, which is really fun.

What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about him? JG: He’s never been a father, and he’s taken on the role of stepdad to my girls so seamlessly. I have to give him so much credit for that, because it is a handful and a half!

Do you guys want more kids? JG: Sure. I mean, yeah, that would be amazing.

How many? JG: We would be happy with just one. But we’re also happy with the girls we have, so whatever comes

our way!

You, Dave and the girls celebrated Halloween with your ex Peter. Are you all one big happy family? JG: I would never lie and say it’s always been roses. I have to pat myself on the back — and Peter, and Dave, who’s helped bridge the gap — for getting to this place. We’re all in it for the girls. It’s been a journey, though!

Any advice for others trying to get there? JG: You have to give yourself time and room to heal emotionally, to work on yourself and come to peace with everything. Then it’s a lot easier.

Your 90210 castmate Shannen Doherty is battling breast cancer. Do you talk? JG: We’re in touch from time to time. She is one of the strongest women I’ve ever met in so many ways. That’s not changed. She’s handling her situation with strength and grace. She looks at it as a blessing in a crazy way. I know she’s going to conquer this.

What about Tori Spelling? Are you still tight? JG: She’s like my sister. [We speak] weekly. We’re both always crazybusy, but we’re always there for each other, and nobody can make me laugh like she does.

You’re 44 and look amazing. What’s your secret? JG: Well, I’ve sort of fallen off the workout train and haven’t been as diligent lately. I’m definitely going to get back on that, though — I’m married to a much younger man, and I want to stay looking good for him as long as possible! ◼
