Christina’s Controversial New Romance
After everything she’s been through with Tarek, all Christina wants is to move on. But her new boyfriend, Doug Spedding, has multiple arrests for domestic violence and a felony drug arrest.
Court records exclusively obtained by In Touch show that Doug has faced a slew of legal woes. In October 2010 he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence, which was later upgraded to a felony charge. Protective orders were issued by the courts and are sealed, but he was charged with violating those orders on five different occasions between October 2010 and July 2011.
In July 2011, Christina’s new man was also arrested and charged with felony drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He eventually pleaded guilty to the drug charge and completed an 18-month diversion program. Ultimately, all charges against him were dismissed.
There are more red flags for Christina: She isn’t the only special woman in her new boyfriend’s life. “I’ve been seeing Doug for almost four years,” his current girlfriend, Tracy Diaz, tells In Touch exclusively. “He hasn’t officially ended our relationship. He was just with me three days ago!”
Doug and Christina have a complicated history. They first dated years ago to make an ex jealous, according to Tracy, who was friends with that ex. It worked — the ex wanted Doug back when she found out Christina had moved in with him. So Doug kicked Christina out and reunited with his ex and went on to have two kids with her. (He started dating Tracy in 2012, after splitting with his ex). Tracy believes that Doug, who romantically reconnected with Christina at an Anaheim Ducks hockey game in May, “really likes Christina, but obviously he’s not being loyal to her.”
