AT WAR WITH HIS EX-WIFE

EXCLUSIVE Kevin Hart is caught in the middle as cheating accusations fly

-

Math can be a tricky thing. When comedian Kevin Hart’s wife, Eniko Parrish, took to Instagram on Aug. 13 to mark their one-year wedding anniversary, she shared a happy photo from their big day along with a gushing message that read, in part, “8 years together. 1 year married. Forever to go!” But after fans noted that something didn’t add up — Kevin and first wife Torrei got divorced only six years ago — Eniko got defensive, writing in since-deleted comments, “Their marriage was broken way before I

came in the picture. They were separated, living in separate homes. I was never a secret.” She also went a step further, accusing Torrei of spreading rumors in order to “play the victim,” before ultimately declaring, “I never wrecked any home.”

Now it’s all-out war, and Torrei tells In Touch exclusively that she and Eniko are not speaking. That puts Kevin in a bad spot because Torrei is the mom of his two children and the exes regularly interact with each other. Torrei shredded Kevin’s new wife, who is pregnant with her first child, by responding to Eniko’s version of history with an Instagram comment ( below) that wasn’t pretty. “You have now left it open for my character to be questioned,” she wrote. “You, Kevin and I know the truth [about his alleged cheating].” If a fan uses social media to comment on their lives, she advised Eniko, “Either respond truthfully or don’t respond at all.” Days later, on Aug. 24, Torrei spoke exclusively to In Touch to double down on the feud. “We’ve just been moving forward, getting the blended family in a good place and co-parenting. This just takes us a step back,” says Torrei. “I feel like if you’re going to respond to something like [social media comments], let’s just be honest and truthful. And that’s that.”

Torrei admits she and Eniko are in a bad place. “Right now me and Eniko are not speaking, but me and Kevin, we’re still speaking,” says Torrei, 39, an actress who’s also appeared on the reality show Atlanta Exes. But she says she and Kevin, 38, haven’t discussed her Instagram spat with Eniko, 33. “He’s no longer my husband. I don’t concern myself with that,” explains Torrei. “I’m only concerned with whatever goes on between me and him for [our] children [Heaven, 12, and Hendrix, 9]. Everything else, it’s none of my business. I don’t see where Kevin has said anything publicly about it.”

In fact, Kevin made it clear he’s not getting involved. “I’m at a point where I can’t even be shocked anymore. All I do is laugh, man,” he said in a series of Instagram Story videos posted on Aug. 21 in which he also hinted that he’ll be using the women’s war as fodder for his stand-up shows.

“This,” he said, “will act as nothing but material for your boy.”

Even though his new wife cast doubt on the cheating charges, Kevin himself has repeatedly admitted his marriage to Torrei ended because he was unfaithful. “I got a divorce because I f---ed up. It’s me, I cheated, sorry...,” he said in 2013, adding that he’s “glad” he did “because now from the mistakes that I made in that marriage, with the female I’m with now, I know how to actually treat a woman.” (Kevin was accused of stepping out on Eniko earlier this summer after video footage surfaced showing him getting close to a beautiful brunette in a car parked outside a luxury Miami hotel at 5 a.m. on July 3. He’s called the cheating allegations “BS.”)

Torrei insists she just wants to leave the past behind her — and wants Eniko to do the same. “Me and Kevin have our ups and downs, but that’s life. Every relationship, no matter what kind of relationship it is, is going to have its ups and downs,” she says. “But me and Kevin, for the sake of our children, we’re always going to stay in a positive place.” ◼
