LISA OPENS UP

The always-candid Lisa Vanderpump talks to In Touch about food, fillers, reality TV — and why she’s not a diva!

Many have a flair for drama, but few reality stars are actually as busy as Lisa Vanderpump. When she’s not starring on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules, the U.k.-born Bravo personality, 57, is running three eateries — Pump, Villa Blanca and SUR — and has a fourth, Tom Tom, in the works. She also edits Beverly Hills Lifestyle magazine and oversees the Vanderpump Dog Foundation, an animal rescue nonprofit she founded with husband Ken Todd, 72, in 2016. But despite such a packed (and glam!) life, Lisa insists she’s no diva. “I have very few people around me,” she tells In Touch, noting she doesn’t employ an assistant or a personal trainer. “I probably need [a trainer], but I don’t have one!” Here, Lisa talks to In Touch about Botox, her celeb crush and her worst (and best) RHOBH- related moments. With all these restaurants in your life, what’s your diet like? LV: I eat quite healthily — a lot of vegetables and fish, very little meat, and I try to cut out the carbs at night. But I do indulge in a great dessert.

Do you find time to exercise?

LV: I go on the treadmill when I’m on the phone for 45 minutes in the morning.

Your skin looks amazing for your age — what’s your secret?

LV: I’m only 35 [ Laughs]! I have no facelifts or anything; you can check for scars! I go to Epione, Dr. Simon Ourian[’s medical spa], and I bow to him. He does a little bit of Botox, a little bit of filler, and he just does great skin care.

Who are you closest to on the Vanderpump Rules cast?

LV: I actually love all of them, even Kristen [Doute], though she drives me crazy. It’s six years of bonding on a reality show. And don’t forget, most of them worked there for four or five years before.

How’s the current season of RHOBH?

LV: Teddi [Mellencamp] definitely changes the dynamic. I like her. She’s a straight shooter, smart, definitely a different flavor. She’s a good addition.

Favorite RHOBH moment ever?

LV: Getting my star on the [Palm Springs, Calif.] Walk of Stars, being on Dancing With the Stars, speaking before Congress. [My daughter] Pandora and Jason [Sabo]’s wedding. There have also been some that haven’t been so great, honestly.

Like what?

LV: Oh, Dubai was awful with Eileen [Davidson] and [Lisa] Rinna coming at me, accusing me of s---.

Why are you good for RHOBH?

LV: Listen, I bring the most important component of all and that’s why Bravo keeps me: [my dog] Giggy!

How has the show made life better?

LV: It’s given me so many opportunities to bring attention to my LGBT advocacy and [efforts to end] the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. And it’s been great for business. I don’t take any of that for granted.

How do you have time for these causes?!

LV: I want to give back. So between my [dog] rescue center, the Teenage Suicide Hotline, feeding the homeless at Villa Blanca…. I pile on as much as I can! ◼
